Registration for ESWW 2021 is now closed.
Oral Presentation Slides
Oral presentations can be given either in person or virtually over the Zoom platform. Presenters must prepare their files, using either PDF or ppt/pptx, and upload them into the ESWW2021 platform. Uploading your files has several benefits, firstly they will be loaded onto the venue computers and made available for you to present in person on the day (it is important to note that n o one is permitted to connect to TIC systems using their own laptops or a memory stick due to the hybrid nature of the meeting). In addition, if you are presenting virtually, they can be utilised as a backup if you have any issues presenting and sharing your slides yourself on the day. Uploading into the platform will also allow participants who have been unable to attend your presentation to view your slides and engage with you if they so choose.
Uploading Oral Presentation Slides
All Oral presenters will receive an invitation to upload their content to the ESWW2021/ESWW17 platform from Monday 11th October 2021. Once the invitation has been received you can begin to upload your presentation in line with the instructions and deadlines detailed under the heading “Timetable”. If you do not receive your invitation by close of business on Tuesday 12th October 2021, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Oral Presentation Slide Formats
All onsite computers are running windows and so we require that all presentations are provided as PDF or ppt/pptx files ONLY. All presentations given in person will be run from the onsite computers ONLY. Those giving talks virtually can present themselves, but if you require backup, this will be displayed on your behalf from the onsite computers.
You can add additional content into the platform (but this is optional), such as a PowerPoint slide show with your own narration or a recording of yourself giving your presentation (e.g. using Zoom). This may increase your reach and thus participant interest in your talk and your work. Once ready these files can be uploaded as your personalised content - please upload a Zoom or Vimeo link ensuring that the content is public or unlisted. Other creative options are also welcomed. File types accepted include: PDF, ppt/pptx, ppt/pptx + graphic files or you could utilise other formats to make your own audio, movie, or animation. If you do choose to utilise the audio-visual approach, please ensure that your presentation (you can upload more than one) engages with your expected audience and is of a suitable length to do so (certainly no longer than your oral-presentation length of time allocated to you for the live presentation). The file must not exceed 15MB.
