QuickViews (QVs)
QuickViews (QVs) (virtual posters) are an exciting new way of showcasing your research on the ESWW2021/ESWW17 platform and engaging in discussion with your fellow space-weather specialists. For those bringing physical posters, we encourage you to also upload an online version, to increase your reach and so that those attending virtually have an opportunity to see your work. Please note that in-person posters will be A0 Portrait and can be affixed to the board with hook velcro.
Uploading QuickViews
All QV lead authors will receive an invitation to upload their presentation to the ESWW2021/ESWW17 platform from Monday 11th October 2021. Once the invitation has been received you can begin to upload your content as per the instructions and deadlines detailed under the heading "Timetable”. If you don’t receive your invitation by close of business on Tuesday 12th October 2021, please email esww2021@physics.org
QuickView Format
As a minimum, you can upload your presentation as a one-page PDF or ppt/pptx, in other words, like a poster at a traditional face-to-face meeting. However, you also have opportunities to be more inventive than that. A PowerPoint slide show with your own narration supplied, is one way in which you can make your QV presentation more impactful. You could also record yourself giving the presentation in full (e.g. using Zoom). You can then upload these files as a YouTube or Vimeo link direct to the platform (please ensure your videos are public or unlisted). Other creative options are also welcomed. File types accepted include: PDF, ppt/pptx, ppt/pptx + graphic filesor you could utilise other formats to make your own audio, movie, or animation. If you do choose to utilise the audio-visual approach, please ensure that your presentation does not exceed 10 minutes in duration and the file does not exceed 15MB.
The platform will allow opportunities for all in-person and virtual participants to connect with you and/or comment on your work.
